Developing and Delivering Better Products
This Is Our Mission
Since our inception at Kjavik, our commitment has been to provide delectable products to our customers.
We take great pride in creating delicious food, which requires time and effort. However, our greatest
satisfaction is derived from customers expressing their delight, “It’s delicious, I want to eat it again.”
With ongoing safety concerns in food, we are determined to deliver not only delicious but also safe products
to our customers. Our processing factories, with whom we have partnered, comply with international standards
and operate under strict management systems, ensuring that we continually supply safe products to our customers.
To continually create delicious products, we must remain committed to the quality of our raw materials.
Our staff personally visits the harvesting sites, using their senses of sight and touch to inspect and hand-select the best raw materials that meet our stringent standards.
It is food that brings delight to people. At Kjavik, we aspire to contribute to that joy. From our inception
until the present and into the future, we continue to dedicate ourselves to crafting products that will
elicit the exclamation, “This is delicious!” during life’s significant moments.

Seasoning
By conducting research on the ideal salt concentration, we have developed a distinctive seasoning method that results in a taste that is easy to enjoy with less saltiness.
Drying
We can prevent fish drips and odors as well as intensify its umami flavor by thoroughly drying it.
Atka Mackerel
Raw Materials
Found in the North Pacific, Atka mackerel is a sustainably managed, bottom-dwelling fish with a distinctive striped pattern.
We prioritize sourcing these flavorful fish during their peak fat season, ensuring a superior taste experience.
To maintain quality, each catch is immediately flash-frozen on the fishing vessel, preserving freshness until it arrives at our partner processing plant.
Manufacturing
Atka mackerel is renowned for its rich, fatty flavor and savory umami notes.
We meticulously prepare our Atka mackerel, paying close attention to the seasoning blend and soaking time. This ensures it’s the perfect complement to rice as a side dish or enjoyed on its own as a flavorful snack with drinks.
Our drying process is uncompromising. We thoroughly dry the fish to concentrate its natural deliciousness. By maintaining the ideal moisture level, the fish retains a delightfully plump and juicy texture.
Our goal is simple: to maximize the inherent flavor of the Atka mackerel and deliver the highest quality dried seafood experience.
Northern shrimp (Sweet Shrimp)
Raw Materials
Northern shrimp are harvested across a broad area, from the North Atlantic to the North Pacific.
Although they are available year-round, there are specific periods when they are best suited for peeling and processing.
At Kjavik, we focus on these optimal times for procurement.
Additionally, we exclusively select fresh, premium raw materials that are frozen immediately onboard after capture, specifically choosing those with a vibrant reddish color.
Manufacturing
All processing is done manually with great care.
By handling the shrimp swiftly, we ensure that their flavor is preserved during processing.
We manage the temperature of the workroom and water to ensure optimal freshness.
Cooked Shrimp
Raw Materials
We source our shrimp exclusively from partner farms with established traceability.
By transporting the shrimp live from the farm directly to the factory, we maintain their freshness.
Fresh shrimp are delivered to the factory daily for production.
Types of Raw Materials:Vannamei, Black Tiger
Manufacturing
We can obtain a vibrant red color by boiling shrimp that are still alive.
During the sorting process, we specifically choose raw materials that have a deeper red color, which helps to enhance the overall redness.
